About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify innovative enterprise IT logging and warehousing solutions that can replace its current log management system. The VA seeks vendors capable of delivering a solution that ingests 100 terabytes of data daily from on-premise, cloud, and SaaS/PaaS/IaaS environments while performing 750,000 daily searches with role-based access control and maintaining 99.99% uptime. The proposed solution must enable compliance with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) 21-31 and Zero Trust Architecture Executive Orders, provide bi-directional IT Service Management event module integration, monitor system availability and performance across on-premise and cloud platforms, and integrate with other observability tools. Responses are limited to five pages and must include a brief company overview and address 15 specific questions covering innovation, compliance features, data protection, scalability, user interface, deployment complexity, vendor reputation, and pricing models. All responses must be submitted electronically by February 17, 2026 at 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time to Contract Specialist Zachary Tanner (Zachary.Tanner@va.gov) and Contracting Officer Kathryn Pantages (Kathryn.Pantages@va.gov).
This pre-solicitation notice includes no set-aside designations and does not identify any current incumbents or specific budget allocation. The RFI is classified as market research only and does not constitute a commitment to award a contract, request for proposal, or request for quote; the VA will not reimburse respondents for submission costs and reserves the right to delay, cancel, revise, or decline to respond to any submissions. All submitted information becomes government property and will not be returned to respondents, and the VA may use submitted information in developing future Performance Work Statements or Product Descriptions. No specific award value or contract duration is mentioned in this pre-solicitation notice, as this RFI phase is designed to gather capability information to inform the government's acquisition strategy prior to issuing a formal solicitation. The opportunity is classified under NAICS code 541519 (Other Computer Related Services) and PSC code DA10 (IT and Telecom - Business Application/Application Development Software as a Service).
