About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network 15 (VISN-15), intends to award a sole-source contract to Medbridge Inc. for Medbridge Rehabilitation Resource Platform subscriptions to support the Columbia Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). The procurement covers a one-year base period with two optional renewal years, running from January 7, 2026, through January 6, 2029, if all options are exercised. The contract will be awarded on a Firm Fixed Price basis and will provide software updates and ongoing support for the specialty rehabilitation platform currently in use at Columbia VAMC. The government justifies this sole-source procurement under FAR 6.103(b), citing that Medbridge is the only reasonably available source for this proprietary and exclusive platform, as no other vendors are authorized to provide the required subscription. Interested parties must identify their interests and authorization to respond to this requirement by January 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM Central Daylight Time.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and is being pursued as a direct award to the incumbent vendor, Medbridge Inc., the original equipment manufacturer of the required platform. The NAICS code for this requirement is 513210 (Software Publishers), with a current business size rating of $47 million. The specific contract value and option year amounts are not disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice; however, the award will consist of the base subscription cost plus two additional annual renewal fees contingent upon the government's exercise of the available options. No competitive solicitation will be posted to federal contract opportunities, as the government has determined that competitive procedures are not applicable given the proprietary nature of the required software platform and its exclusive availability through Medbridge Inc.
