About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center is preparing to procure a Joint Credentialing and Privileging (C&P) solution through a market research RFI due November 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The notice uses No Set-Aside Used, and the RFI states it is market research only, not a commitment to contract. The RFI seeks a single vendor to replace VA's VetPro and the Department of War's (DoW) Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS), deployed as separate, department-specific instances. Shared instances and VA access to DoW healthcare risk management (HRM) or Impaired Healthcare Providers Program (IHPP) components are excluded. Respondents must address seven use cases covering end-to-end credentialing and privileging workflows, interoperability, professional practice evaluation, enterprise privileging and clinical assignments, enterprise visibility, and DoW-only HRM and IHPP capabilities. Core capabilities must be mature and commercially available, requiring only configuration and approved integrations. DoW HRM and IHPP components may require development, which respondents must identify with timelines and dependencies. The Consolidated Requirements Workbook lists 98 business requirements, including primary source verification, national databank checks (NPDB, FSMB), and Chief Medical Officer escalation based on defined malpractice and licensure criteria. Respondents must also address FedRAMP status, DoW cloud impact levels, security authorization support, data migration, training, and post-implementation support. Capability statements are limited to 10 pages in 12-point font and must include CAGE code, SAM registration status, applicable government contract vehicles, and a rough order of magnitude cost estimate with licensing and cost drivers for each instance. Responses are submitted electronically to Kimberly Geran (Kimberly.Geran@va.gov, 848-377-5228) or Ryan Sehulster (Ryan.Sehulster@va.gov, 848-377-5190) at the Technology Acquisition Center, 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, NJ 07724. Governing NAICS codes are 541512 and 541519, with PSC DA10.
