About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Technology Acquisition Center intends to enter into a contract for existing software licenses, software maintenance, and technical support for the iMedConsent Web (ICW) software. ICW is signature informed consent software used by VA healthcare professionals to document patient consent for medical treatments and procedures. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), National Center for Ethics in Health Care (NCEHC), intends to enter into a contract on a basis of other than full and open competition with Taylor Communications, Inc, for existing software licenses for the ICW software, software maintenance to include updates, enhancements, and corrections to the software, and technical support including 24x7x365 phone and web-based technical support. ICW is signature informed consent software, which assists VHA health care professionals in documenting patients signature informed consent for over 2,400 medical treatments/procedures that VA performs on Veterans. VA requires the ICW software to be compatible with Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) and VA Electronic Health Care Record (EHR). This notice does not in itself represent the issuance of a formal request for proposal/quote and is not intended to be taken as such. This is a request for information (RFI) only and shall not be considered an Invitation for Bids, Request for Quotations, or a Request for Proposal. Do not submit a proposal or a quote. This market research is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
