About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, through its Network Contracting Office 8, has published a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole-source Firm Fixed Price contract valued at $34.0 million to CareFusion Solutions, LLC for Alaris Infusion System maintenance services. This Special Notice, posted on April 3, 2026, addresses software management requirements for the Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center's Alaris Infusion System server and software components. The procurement falls under NAICS code 541519 (Other Computer Related Services) and is designated as a non-competitive solicitation due to CareFusion's exclusive control over proprietary software and technology. No formal competitive Solicitation will be issued for this requirement, as market research has determined that only CareFusion can provide these services without unacceptable delays or cost duplication.

The primary objective of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties of the Government's intent to proceed with a single-source award while providing an opportunity for alternative vendors to demonstrate their capabilities. Interested parties must submit capability statements to Contracting Officer Stephen Mancuso via email at Stephen.Mancuso@va.gov within three business days of publication, with a deadline of April 10, 2026. All respondents must identify their business classification (large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a), or woman-owned) and ownership status (U.S. or foreign-owned). The scope of work includes internet, webinar, and on-site training; remote monitoring and technical support for the Alaris Systems Manager and Infusion System; and data collection with analytics tools and services. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date on or about April 15, 2026, and reserves the right to reject submissions or not proceed with the acquisition.
