About this file

This is a Special Notice announcing the Department of Veterans Affairs' intent to award a sole-source contract for Alaris Infusion System maintenance services. The Orlando Veterans Affairs Medical Center seeks software management services for the Alaris Infusion System server and software components, with an estimated contract value of $34.0 million under NAICS code 541519 (Other Computer Related Services). The scope of work includes internet, webinar, and on-site training and clinical education; remote monitoring and technical support for the Alaris Systems Manager and Infusion System; and data collection with analytics tools and services. The Government intends to award this Firm Fixed Price contract to CareFusion Solutions, LLC (3750 Torrey View Ct, San Diego, CA 92130) with an effective date on or about April 15, 2026. CareFusion has been identified as the sole source based on their proprietary control over the software and technology, with market research determining no other entity can provide these services without unacceptable delay or cost duplication.

This is not a competitive solicitation, and no formal Solicitation will be issued. However, interested parties may submit capability statements within three days of publication to demonstrate their ability to provide these services. Submissions should be directed via email to the Contracting Officer, Stephen Mancuso (Stephen.Mancuso@va.gov), at the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 8 in Orlando, Florida (ZIP 32827). The response deadline is April 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. Respondents must indicate their business classification (large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a), or woman-owned) and ownership status (U.S. or foreign-owned). The Government will not compensate submissions and reserves the right not to proceed with the acquisition. Software enhancements exclude updates or version upgrades to infusion device hardware.
