About this opportunity
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Europe Africa Central (EURAFCENT) Expeditionary has issued a Special Notice announcing an Industry Forum scheduled for December 18, 2024, in Nicosia, Cyprus. The event is specifically designed for contractors interested in design and construction opportunities with the US Navy, focusing on upcoming projects at Mari Naval Base and KEN Larnaca. This half-day conference will provide detailed information about contracting with the US Government and NAVFAC, offering industry partners insights into potential future work. The notice was published on November 27, 2024, with a registration deadline of December 13, 2024. The forum is part of NAVFAC's efforts to engage with potential contractors and communicate upcoming construction and design opportunities in the region.
Contractors interested in attending must adhere to specific registration guidelines, including limiting participation to two representatives per company and providing complete contact information to Ms. Anna Gulewich via email. The forum's eligibility is restricted to firms with a primary place of business in the United States or current European Union Member States, with a formal justification for this competition limitation to be posted on SAM.gov. The agenda will cover comprehensive topics including the NAVFAC EURAFCENT Expeditionary Program, upcoming construction contracting opportunities, eligibility criteria, Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build methodologies, and guidance on critical registration processes such as obtaining NCAGE codes and registering with SAM.gov and PIEE systems. Participation is voluntary and does not obligate the government to award contracts, and there is no cost to attend the event. All materials presented during the forum will be subsequently posted on SAM.gov for broader access and reference.
