About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation-Richmond) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for manufacturing Survival Seat Cushion, Headrest Assembly, and Fairing Back components with specific NSN and part numbers. The agency is seeking qualified manufacturers capable of producing these aircraft parts, which involves comprehensive production responsibilities including component procurement, inspection, testing, packaging, and shipping. Interested parties must submit detailed capability statements demonstrating their organizational and technical capacity to perform the contract requirements by March 20, 2025. The government will evaluate potential sources based on their ability to provide services consistent with the scope, secure necessary corporate resources, implement effective project management, and meet performance-based service acquisition standards. Responses must be emailed directly to juline.tenorio@dla.mil, with no telephone inquiries accepted.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates that the contract may be set aside for small businesses or procured through full and open competition, with the potential for multiple awards. The procurement falls under NAICS code 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing, with a Product Service Code of 1680 for Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components. While specific unit prices will be established during contract award, the notice suggests potential contractors may need to manage complex supply chain logistics, including long-lead time parts procurement and addressing diminishing manufacturing sources.
