About this opportunity

This pre-solicitation notice outlines a requirement for an engine oil cooler with specific technical performance specifications. The technical data package for this component is currently proprietary to Renk America, LLC and Tecmotiv USA, Inc., which means potential vendors will need to go through a Source Approval Program (SAP) to qualify. Interested contractors must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) package and undergo qualification testing and evaluation to become an approved source. The opportunity was posted on May 21, 2025, with a response deadline of June 4, 2025, and vendors should be aware that source approval does not guarantee future business opportunities.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates there are no specific set-aside designations for this contract opportunity. The procurement falls under NAICS Category 333618 (Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing) and Product Service Code 2930 (Engine Cooling System Components, Nonaircraft). While specific award values are not disclosed, the opportunity is structured as a competitive source approval process that will potentially lead to future solicitations. Contractors interested in competing must carefully review the SAP requirements outlined on the TACOM website and prepare comprehensive documentation demonstrating their technical capabilities. The evaluation will focus on the vendor's ability to meet the proprietary technical specifications and performance requirements for the engine oil cooler.
