About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a Control Assembly with National Stock Number 7H-5895-015780926, specifically for a single unit to be delivered FOB Origin. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1, indicating a potential sole-source procurement. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date (February 23, 2025) to submit proposals, capability statements, or indicate their interest in fulfilling the requirement. The solicitation emphasizes that award will only be made if the offeror, product, or manufacturer meets specific qualification requirements. The government has determined it is uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the part, which suggests unique technical specifications or proprietary design constraints.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, and no potential incumbents are mentioned. While the quantity is specified as 1 EA (each), no specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the documentation. The procurement falls under PSC Category 7G20 for IT and Telecom Network Analog Voice Products, suggesting specialized technical equipment. Potential sources can obtain required documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) in Philadelphia, with most documents available in Adobe PDF format via ASSIST-Online. The government maintains discretion in determining whether to compete the procurement based on responses received, and commercial item alternatives may be considered within 15 days of the notice's publication.
