About this opportunity
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command seeks to award a sole source contract to Clark Construction Group to construct a second taxiway (W-6) providing access to Hangar 20 at Joint Base Andrews-Naval Air Facility in Washington, Maryland. Interested parties were requested to submit capability statements by January 3, 2020 addressing company information, bonding capabilities, and experience with similar size and scope concrete airfield pavements, airfield electrical work, and stormwater management, as well as an alternative approach to accessing the site that would mitigate risks associated with identified haul routes. An amendment changed the taxiway length from approximately 11,000 linear feet to 1,100 linear feet.
There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. Clark Construction Group is the potential incumbent and current contractor due to existing work on an adjacent hangar. The project involves constructing approximately 1,100 linear feet of taxiway utilizing economical design and construction methods to service the hangar within a timeline not specified. The main NAICS and PSC codes were not provided.
