About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), through its Automatic Test Systems Team and Product Manager Maintenance Support Systems, is seeking a comprehensive Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) solution to transform Marine Corps ground vehicle maintenance from reactive, time-based approaches to proactive, predictive maintenance strategies. The procurement will involve data collection hardware, data analytics software, artificial intelligence and machine learning models, and cloud-based visualization dashboards designed to collect, transmit, store, and analyze Controller Area Network (CAN) data from military vehicles. Key requirements include the delivery of data logging hardware capable of collecting data from multiple CANbus systems simultaneously, storing at least 32GB of data, and transmitting through WiFi, LiFi, Bluetooth, and tactical military radios, with all data stored in Department of Defense cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and the Navy's Jupiter enclave. The contractor must develop AI/ML models to predict part failures, conduct root cause analysis, provide maintenance dashboards for various vehicle platforms including the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR), Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV), and Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV), and support field service installations at multiple Marine Corps locations. The Marine Corps hosted an Industry Day on January 8, 2026, to brief potential contractors on requirements and acquisition approach, with registration deadlines closed as of December 29, 2025, and the formal solicitation to follow with a draft Performance Work Statement subject to change.
No set-aside designations apply to this procurement, which is structured as an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) pricing for an initial three-year period with two option years. The government expects to procure up to 3,000 commercially available data logging hardware units, with current systems managed by existing contractors NSWC Crane and KBR, approximately 10 percent of targeted Marine Corps platforms already equipped with data loggers. While a specific award value has not been disclosed in the pre-solicitation documents, the scope encompasses comprehensive system development, hardware procurement, field service support across multiple Marine Corps installations including Camp Pendleton, Camp Lejeune, Hawaii, and Okinawa, training materials development, cybersecurity support, configuration management, and ongoing warranty and maintenance support through the contract period. The program timeline extends through FY30, with the implementation roadmap demonstrating a phased approach from initial pilots in FY19 through minimum viable product development, platform expansion, and ultimate achievement of global logistics awareness across Marine Corps operations. Interested contractors should possess expertise in military vehicle data systems, AI/ML development, cloud infrastructure integration, and hold or be eligible for Secret-level security clearance, with both large and small businesses encouraged to pursue the opportunity.
