About this file
This document is a Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) briefing for a Condition Based Maintenance (CBM+) Virtual Industry Day. The presentation outlines a strategic initiative to transform maintenance practices for Marine Corps ground vehicles through advanced data collection, transmission, and analysis technologies. The CBM+ program aims to shift from reactive, time-based maintenance to a proactive, predictive approach using data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
The implementation roadmap spans from FY19 to FY30, with initial pilots on platforms like LAV, M777, and M88, progressing to a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in FY20, and expanding to more units and platforms through FY24. By FY25-29, the program will scale across Marine Logistics Groups, and by FY30, achieve a "Global Logistics Awareness" that supports Marine Corps forces' decision-making and operational effectiveness. The Marine Corps is seeking industry partners to provide a comprehensive solution including hardware, data analytics, and cyber capabilities, with requirements such as TRL-9 data loggers, non-proprietary software, and ability to work in Microsoft Azure and Advana cloud environments.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING FROM INDUSTRY
• A single contract solution for hardware, data analytics, and cyber aspects of the program. Can be achieved through subcontracting/partnerships
• Software/Data analytic solutions that are not proprietary. The USMC intends to own not only the data, but the models and visualizations created by this contract
• Data logger hardware solution(s) that are TRL-9 and capable of WI-FI at a minimum. Multiple data transmission methods (Wi-Fi, Iridium, Cellular, LI-FI, etc.) is desirable
• Demonstrated experience building models for ground vehicles
• Ability and willingness to work in Government provided cloud solutions (MS Azure and Advana)
• Data visualizations that provide Marine Commanders, Staff Officers, and Maintainers a decision support tool that is easy to use and understand
