The DEA will evaluate capability statements from vendors who believe they can meet the government's requirements, though the decision to open the procurement to competition remains at the government's discretion. The procurement includes substantial quantities of specialized surveillance equipment, with the 100 pole camera concealment units representing the largest single line item by quantity. All submissions must be made electronically to designated DEA contracting personnel, and the justification for sole source procurement will be posted 14 days after contract award as required by federal acquisition regulations.
