About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a high-pressure air compressor (HPAC) and accompanying hose for the USS BATAAN through a competitive solicitation. The procurement requires a compressor capable of producing a final discharge pressure between 2700-3300 PSI, with a rated discharge capacity of 22 cubic feet per hour and 19.8 Standard Cubic Feet Per Minute, and an air-cooled design. The solicitation (N0018925Q0248) is structured as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared under FAR 12.603(c)(2), with proposals being requested directly through this notice without a separate written solicitation. Quotes must be submitted via email by April 29, 2025, with all applicable clauses and provisions incorporated into the solicitation. The government intends to negotiate a firm-fixed-price (FFP) purchase order and will evaluate quotes based on the technical specifications and compliance with the stated requirements.
This contract opportunity is set aside for total small businesses, specifically those within the NAICS code 333912 with a size standard of 1000 employees. The required delivery date is 24 weeks after receipt of order (ARO), with performance location at USS BATAAN in Norfolk, VA, using FOB Destination terms. Payment will be processed through the Government Purchase Card (GPC), and the procurement involves a single compressor and hose unit with specific technical requirements, including a 75-foot hose capable of connecting to the ship's 1-inch male threaded high-pressure air inlet. While no specific award value is mentioned, the solicitation indicates a focused procurement to support the naval vessel's redundant air supply capabilities. The contract will provide a critical component for maintaining the ship's high-pressure air system, with vendors required to include any necessary adapters or connectors in their quote, and pricing to include shipping costs.
