About this opportunity
The Department of the Treasury's Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking qualified vendors to provide comprehensive compressed air plant maintenance and emergency services for its District Currency Facility. The source sought notice aims to identify firms capable of developing and maintaining a maintenance program for five air compressors, two air dryers, and related components. Interested vendors must submit a five-page capability statement by May 30, 2025, at 1700 ET, demonstrating their technical capabilities and experience with similar contracts from the past 5-7 years. The contracting officer will evaluate responses to determine vendor qualifications, with a specific focus on firms able to provide personnel who are U.S. citizens located within 100 miles of the National Capital Region. Key submission requirements include detailing technical capabilities, past performance, and ability to provide comprehensive maintenance services.
The procurement opportunity is classified under NAICS code 811310 for Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a planned contract duration of five years (base year from December 11, 2025, to December 10, 2026, with four potential option years through December 10, 2030). No specific set-aside designations are currently indicated, and no security clearance is required, though a National Agency check will be conducted. While the sources sought notice does not guarantee a contract award, it represents a market research effort to identify potential service providers for compressed air plant maintenance. The government reserves the right to use submitted information as needed and will potentially release a full solicitation on SAM.gov at a later date. Vendors are advised to monitor SAM.gov for additional information and future solicitation details.
