About this opportunity

Paragraph 1:

This is an unrestricted solicitation by the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence for commercial shelf-stable meals to support FEMA emergencies. The key technical requirements for the commercial meals include a shelf life of 10-12 months at 70°F, 800-1460 calories per meal, maximum 13g saturated fat, 10-25% protein, and no more than 60% carbohydrates. The meals must be ready-to-eat and shelf-stable, without any fluid drinks. Interested offerors must submit a proposal providing a full meal description, packaging and pricing details, and delivery schedule. The contract will be awarded based on the Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) terms and conditions, with the BOA price at the time of order becoming the contract price.

Paragraph 2:

This is an unrestricted acquisition, with no set-aside designation. The government has not provided any information about potential incumbents or current contractors. The government has not specified a contract value or budget range, but has provided detailed requirements for the quantity and characteristics of the commercial meals sought. The place of performance is not explicitly stated, but the meals are intended to support FEMA emergencies, suggesting potential nationwide or regional delivery requirements.
