About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Installation and Mission Support Center (AFICC) is conducting market research for a commercial market research portal subscription. The agency seeks an online platform providing detailed reports at the product/service line level, accessible to 10-15 concurrent users monthly without requiring software installation on government networks. Key contract requirements include providing comprehensive analytical features such as Porter's 5 Forces Analysis, vendor market shares, pricing drivers, barriers to entry, and supply chain overviews. The Request for Information (RFI) aims to develop an acquisition strategy for a potential future procurement, with vendors asked to demonstrate platform capabilities including visualizations, dashboards, AI-generated summaries, and export options. The market research opportunity is open from May 9, 2025, with responses due by May 23, 2025, though AFICC emphasizes there is no obligation to pursue a future procurement based on RFI responses.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this opportunity, and the NAICS category is 519290 for Web Search Portals and All Other Information Services. While no specific award value or budget range is currently disclosed, the government is seeking detailed information about licensing, subscription options, pricing structures, platform analytics, and vendor business credentials. The portal is expected to support research and analytical needs for Air Force personnel, with a focus on obtaining high-quality, in-depth commercial market insights. Vendors will not be compensated for providing information in response to this RFI, and the exercise is purely for market research purposes. The potential contract would support the Air Force's need for sophisticated market intelligence and research capabilities across various product and service domains.

SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY

AFICC is contemplating a requirement for subscription access to online commercial market research portal that provides detailed reports at the product/service line level (as opposed to broad industries/markets).  The reports must be available via online portal or platform – the DAF does not desire to install software on its network or to any local machine.  The online or downloadable reports would be accessed by 10-15 individuals per month (on average) on a concurrent basis.

The full request for information (RFI) is attached with specific questions/requests for interested parties.

The provided information will be utilized to help develop an acquisition strategy for a potential future procurement.  AFICC is under no obligation to pursue future procurement based on the responses to this RFI.
