About this opportunity
Brookhaven Science Associates, LLC, operating Brookhaven National Laboratory under a Department of Energy prime contract, is seeking vendors to provide Milli-Q IQ 7005 water purification systems along with comprehensive uninstallation, installation, decommissioning, and commissioning services. The procurement requires replacing existing Milli-Q 7000 and Milli-Q Direct 8 systems with new Milli-Q 7005 systems at two laboratory locations (B135 and lab 198). Offerors must be authorized Milli-Q distributors with trained installation technicians and must provide documentation proving their qualifications, with registration in the System for Award Management required. The contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offeror under a firm-fixed price arrangement. The original quote submission deadline was September 26, 2025 at 12:00 PM ET, with questions due by September 16, 2025, though Amendment 1 was issued on September 18, 2025 to provide responses to submitted questions.
This procurement is conducted under full and open competition with no set-aside designation, falling under NAICS code 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) with a 1,000 employee size standard. The solicitation requires two complete Milli-Q IQ 7005 water purification systems with associated components, storage tanks, filters, and installation accessories as detailed in the 17-line item pricing sheet. Contract performance will take place in Upton, New York, with an anticipated delivery timeframe of two months after contract award. Payment terms are Net 30 days for standard businesses and Net 10 days for small businesses, with FOB destination pricing terms specified. The water systems will support daily ultrapure water usage of approximately 50 liters for general chemistry and non-pharmaceutical sample preparation purposes, with one system requiring wall mounting and another bench mounting configuration.
