About this opportunity

This pre-solicitation notice seeks proposals for a Coffee Stewardship Integrated Resource Service Contract (IRSC) to address effects of the 2020 Castle Fire within the Sequoia National Forest in California. The U.S. Forest Service seeks to mitigate hazards from dead and damaged trees along roads through hazardous fuels reduction and ecosystem restoration. Work includes felling fire-killed trees near roads and trails, removing salvageable timber and slash, and rearranging remaining slash. Estimated timber volumes and species are provided. A pre-solicitation site visit will be held on August 23, 2022, with questions due by that date. The request for quotes is expected to issue on August 15, 2022 and will use a best value evaluation method, resulting in a firm fixed price commercial services contract to be awarded by the agency.

There is no set-aside designated for this opportunity. The NAICS code is 115310 for support services for forestry with a size standard of $20.5M. The estimated timber volume includes over 4,135 MBF of red fir and white fir sawtimber, 57 CCF of lodgepole pine sawtimber, and other species. All work shall be completed by December 31, 2023. The contract value will be determined by the firm fixed price submitted by the awardee but is estimated to include removal and processing of the listed timber volumes and species within the defined contract area impacted by the 2020 Castle Fire.
