About this opportunity

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the National Institutes of Health is procuring Chromium GEM-X Single Cell 5' Kit Reagents through a Request for Quotes (RFQ-NIAID-25-2266765) using simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 13. The procurement specifically requires 10X Genomics Single Cell library reaction kits to support the B Cell Immunology Section's ongoing clinical trials VRC328 and VRC329, which focus on analyzing B cell immune responses to vaccine products through single-cell sequencing of BCR sequences. This acquisition is structured as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items with a brand name restriction, indicating that only 10X Genomics products will be accepted. The procurement operates under NAICS code 325414 (Biological Product Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,250 employees. Amendment 1 has extended the quote submission deadline to September 16, 2025 at 3:00 PM EST, with Addison Miller serving as the primary contracting officer contact.

This procurement does not include any small business set-aside designations and is open to all qualified vendors meeting the size standard requirements. No incumbent contractors or potential award values are specified in the available documentation, though the use of simplified acquisition procedures suggests the contract value falls below the simplified acquisition threshold. The reagents will support ongoing projects processing fresh blood samples from clinical trial participants, enabling in-depth analysis of vaccine-induced immune responses. Performance will take place in Bethesda, Maryland at the NIH campus, where the VRC B Cell Immunology Section conducts its research activities. The procurement documents incorporate standard commercial contract terms and conditions as specified in FAR 52.212-5, establishing comprehensive regulatory compliance requirements for the selected contractor.
