About this opportunity
This solicitation is issued by the USDA Forest Service to replace an existing timber bridge over the East Fork Chippewa River near Butternut, Wisconsin. Alternative designs may be proposed if structural and geometric requirements are met. Proposals are due by September 25, 2023 and the contract will be awarded to the lowest priced technically acceptable offeror.
This is a total small business set-aside designated under NAICS code 237310 for highway, street and bridge construction. The estimated value is between $1-3 million. The bridge is located on the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. The replacement structure will be approximately 126.5 feet long and have a 14.1 foot roadway width. Offerors may propose disposal of spoils in up to four designated gravel pits and use of local aggregates and timber products is permissible.
