About this opportunity

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) awarded a competitive multiple-award IDIQ contract to KYMANOX CORP on July 1, 2026, for chemistry, manufacturing, and controls and related services for development of drug products, with an award value of $49,885,703.

The ordering period runs through July 31, 2031. The contractor is eligible for task orders under Technical Areas 1 and 2. Task orders will be issued as cost-reimbursement, term/completion type, with fixed-price task orders issued only where appropriate and feasible; the government determined that fixed-price arrangements are generally infeasible due to the absence of precise specifications and the dynamic, science-responsive nature of the requirement. No set-aside was used. The award was made under unrestricted competition and relates to Solicitation 75N95025R00005.

Notice text

A competitive multiple award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) type contract was awarded, with a ordering period (July 1, 2026 through July 31, 2031). It is anticipated that Task Orders issued against these contracts will most likely be cost-reimbursement, term/completion type Task Orders. Upon analysis of the type of work and all associated costs involved, fixed-price type task orders are usually not feasible due to the absence of precise specifications and difficulties in estimating costs with accuracy. Based upon the uncertainties involved, the Government would assume undue risk in attempting to fit relatively dynamic (science responsive and result-drive) requirement into a fixed-price environment. In these instances, fixed-price task orders would be disadvantageous to the Government, since they do not provide the Government with the flexibility that is needed to reasonably and responsively shift with the evolving needs of this requirement. However, fixed price Task Order may be issued, where appropriate and feasible.

The Contractor is eligible for Task Orders under Technical Areas 1 & 2.

The award notice is in relation to Solicitation # 75N95025R00005.
