About this opportunity

The Naval Air Warfare Center at Lakehurst intends to issue a sole-source fixed-price contract to Fatigue Technology for the procurement of Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) for the CH-53K Age Exploration Program Depot event. The contract will specifically cover the manufacture and delivery of 14 specialized items including hole/bushing gages, mandrels, chuck assemblies, nosecaps, and jaws. Under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, the government has determined that Fatigue Technology is the only responsible source capable of meeting their requirements, as they are the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer with the necessary technical expertise and proprietary data. The pre-solicitation notice indicates that the government will consider all information received prior to the March 6, 2025 closing date, though they retain full discretion in making the final procurement decision. Interested parties should contact Shelby Weldon via email at shelby.l.weldon2.civ@us.navy.mil with any inquiries.

The contract is not set aside for any specific business category and will require delivery of items within 120 calendar days after contract award to DLA Distribution in Mechanicsburg, PA. Fatigue Technology, with CAGE code 51439, will be responsible for manufacturing the items according to the government-furnished Technical Data Package and implementing a comprehensive quality assurance system. Each item must undergo DCMA inspection at source and receive government acceptance at destination, with specific requirements for Unique Item Identification (IUID) marking per MIL-STD-130 for items valued at $5,000 or greater. The procurement falls under the NAICS category 333991 for Power-Driven Handtool Manufacturing and PSC category 5130 for Hand Tools, Power Driven. While no specific contract value is disclosed, the detailed technical requirements suggest a specialized and potentially high-value procurement focused on precise maintenance support equipment for military aircraft.
