About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency seeks a contractor to provide standardized key product data elements and product classifications for medical-surgical supplies. The contractor will receive weekly product data from DLA and provide manufacturer and supplier names, part numbers, functional group classifications, and identification of clinically equivalent products. Proposals are due by August 14, 2023 and the contract will have a one-year base period and two optional one-year extensions. The selection will be made based on the lowest-priced technically acceptable proposal.
There is no set-aside designation. The place of performance is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cardinal Health SupplyLine is the potential incumbent as the only system that fully integrates with DLA's databases and meets requirements. The estimated total value is $2,861,740 for a one-year base period and two one-year options. The contractor must also classify monthly medical-surgical items for the Department of Veterans Affairs with deliverables due weekly and monthly to the government.

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support gathers and manages a central repository of Medical-Surgical including War Readiness products to support the War Fighter. The Medical-Surgical product data management and data quality management is a challenge due to the constant change that occurs to the key product data elements that identifies the product. There is a need for the standardized product information to be able to identify the product throughout the DoD Supply Chain and to be able to find alternate products, group clinically equivalent products to assist the consumers in procuring the product and assist in deriving the procurement patterns.
This requirements is established for the following purpose, receive standardized key product data elements Manufacturer/Supplier Name and Manufacturer/Supplier Part Number product classification to group the products into functional groups and to identify clinically equivalent products.
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support will submit the Medical-Surgical products to the contractor and the contractor will provide the standardized key data elements and classifications (Group clinically equivalent products etc.) within the agreed upon time.
