About this opportunity
The U.S. Secret Service is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to research cable, internet, and phone services for their field offices in Baltimore, Miami, and Houston. The agency seeks comprehensive telecommunications solutions, including business cable TV services, internet packages with speeds up to 1G, and phone services with features like mobility lines and caller ID. Currently, Comcast provides services for Baltimore and Miami offices, while AT&T serves the Houston location, and the Secret Service is looking to maintain similar service levels. The RFI is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 15.201(e) and is purely for market research and planning purposes. Responses are due by January 21, 2025, and must be submitted electronically, with a 30-page PDF response limit that includes company information, UEI number, and technical capabilities.
No specific small business set-aside has been determined for this opportunity, though small business status information is requested in responses. The anticipated contract structure is a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with individual calls likely lasting 12 months. Specific service requirements include 1G internet speed for Baltimore and Miami offices, 23 static IPs for the Miami location, and various business communication services across the three offices. While no contract will be awarded directly from this RFI, the government is gathering detailed information about potential service providers in the wired telecommunications carriers industry. The total contract value is not explicitly stated, but the scope covers comprehensive telecommunications services for multiple federal office locations in three major U.S. cities.
