About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 29 units of a specific cable assembly with the National Stock Number 7R-6150-015051167-QE, referenced under contract number 74A926249-1003. The procurement will be delivered FOB Origin and the government intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date (until March 17, 2025) to submit proposals, capability statements, or expressions of interest. While this is not a competitive proposal request, the government will consider all submissions received within the specified timeframe. Potential vendors can obtain necessary specification documents through the DoDSingle Stock Point (DODSSP) using ASSIST-Online or by contacting their help desk.

There are no specific set-aside designations for this contract opportunity, and the government is not applying FAR Part 12 commercial item acquisition policies. The procurement falls under the Product Service Code 6150 for Miscellaneous Electric Power and Distribution Equipment. Early and incremental deliveries are both accepted and preferred by the contracting agency. While no specific award value is mentioned, the relatively low quantity of 29 units suggests this is a targeted, specific procurement rather than a large-scale contract. Vendors interested in proposing a commercial item alternative have a 15-day window from the notice publication to communicate their capabilities to the contracting officer. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete the procurement based on the responses received.
