About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command seeks complete removal and replacement of six window sections (twelve awning-style windows) at Building 4311, Dyess Air Force Base, Abilene, Texas, with proposals due September 22, 2026. The procurement is set aside 100% for small business concerns and carries a firm fixed-price structure with a 10-calendar-day mobilization window and 30-calendar-day performance period following Notice to Proceed.
A mandatory government site visit is scheduled for September 8 at 1:00 PM CST; questions are due September 8 by 12:00 PM CST. Amendment 0001, effective September 17, added a Questions and Answers attachment and a revised drawing with rough opening dimensions (Attachment 05), and extended the proposal deadline from September 15 to September 22.
Work includes removal and disposal of existing glass, window assemblies, framing, anchors, and sealants; preparation of openings; and installation of new aluminum fixed-frame stationary window assemblies with two separate fixed units per section, aluminum framing, glazing, anchors, sealants, and flashing for weather-tight installation. Approximate existing window opening dimensions are 93" x 34". The contractor shall address any CMU repair or replacement required for proper window installation. New windows must feature a center split design and match the style of existing windows surrounding Building 4311.
