About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) dated 1 June 2026 for window replacement services at Building 4311 on Dyess Air Force Base in Texas.
The contractor must remove and replace six existing window sections consisting of twelve awning-style windows with new aluminum fixed-frame stationary window assemblies. Work includes complete demolition and disposal of existing windows, preparation of openings, and installation of new units with aluminum framing, glazing, anchors, sealants, and flashing. The government estimates thirty calendar days for project completion. The contractor must submit material submittals for government approval prior to ordering or installing materials, with work commencing within ten days of material arrival. All work must comply with UFGS, UFC, ACI, NSPC, NEC, ASHRE, and OSHA standards. The contractor is responsible for coordinating with the Contracting Office (325-696-3863) to minimize disruption to facility operations, with building occupants not required to vacate during work unless temporary area closures become necessary with seven days' notice. Normal working hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, with any work outside these hours requiring five calendar days' advance notice and additional government inspection at no extra cost to the government. The contractor must warrant all work for one year from acceptance and repair any CMU damage caused by installation activities.
The SOW includes extensive requirements for hazardous conditions reporting, OSHA compliance, fire prevention permits, confined space entry, security clearances, and cultural resource protection. Contractors must obtain Dyess Form 173 identification cards, maintain vehicle registration and insurance documentation, and comply with base security protocols including restricted area procedures. The contractor is responsible for debris disposal per federal, state, and local regulations and must maintain clean work areas with accessible restrooms for occupants throughout the contract period.
