The Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service seeks repair of greenhouse vent walls at Building 30 in Tifton, Georgia, with quotations due July 8 at 3:00 PM local time. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside foreclosing competition outside that category.

The work requires repair or replacement of vent wall panels, motors, drive assemblies, mounting brackets, and mounting posts to restore integrity and operation of existing Wadsworth Controllers; all work must be completed within 30 calendar days of notice to proceed, with performance scheduled August 3 through September 4. All contractor employees must hold 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety certification, with supervisors requiring 30-hour OSHA training. Contractors must submit a Site Safety Specific Plan within 7 days of award and provide all labor, equipment, and materials for turnkey completion. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, requiring three days' advance notice for alternatives. A Site Safety and Health Officer must be designated; one individual may simultaneously serve as Superintendent, Site Safety and Health Officer, and Quality Control Manager. Davis-Bacon prevailing wage rates apply per General Decision Number GA20260102 for Tift County, Georgia.
Evaluation will weigh technical acceptability, company experience, price, and past performance. Offerors must submit a technical approach narrative addressing all statement of work requirements and references for up to three similar projects completed within the last three years. Award will be made to the lowest price technically acceptable offeror on a firm fixed-price basis. Performance and payment bonds are not required. Organized site visits are scheduled for June 17 at 1:00 PM EDT and June 18 at 9:00 AM EDT; registration was due June 16. Solicitation is amended to post the site visit sign-in sheets and responses to all requests for information (RFIs) received by the RFI deadline. All other terms and conditioins remain unchanged.
Acknowledgement of amendment is required with quote submission by either returning a signed copy of the SF-30 or completing section 19 on the SF-1442.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0760 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for building 30 greenhouse repairs.
This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 238150. The small business size standard is $19.0 million. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
Organized site visits have been scheduled for June 17, 2026 at 1:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) and June 18, 2026 at 9:00 AM EDT. The same information will be provided at both site visits, so offerors only need to attend one. Contractors wishing to attend the site visit must register by emailing josh.dobereiner@usda.gov by June 16, 2026 at 4:00 PM EDT with the name(s) of attendee(s), company they are with, and company(s) they are representing. A Government issued photo ID is required for attendance.
The site visit will be held for the purpose of providing contractors with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the site, which may be helpful in the preparation of quotes. Attendance at the site visit is not mandatory for quote submission; however, failure to visit the site will not relieve or mitigate the successful contractor’s responsibility and obligation to fully comply with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained and/or referenced in this document.
All questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer, Josh Dobereiner, via email to josh.dobereiner@usda.gov. Questions must be submitted no later than June 25, 2026 at 4:00 PM EDT. Answers to all questions received by that time will be posted as an amendment to the solicitation. No questions will be answered after this date unless determined to be in the best interest of the Government as deemed by the Contracting Officer. Telephone requests for information will not be accepted or returned.
