About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Space Command, through Buckley Space Force Base, is conducting market research for the replacement of boiler vent piping at Building 205, located at 606 S. The contractor must provide all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, and qualified labor necessary to replace both exhaust and air intake vent piping for four Lochinvar boilers (two domestic hot water models and two heating boilers) in compliance with manufacturer specifications and multiple governing standards including UFC 3-410-01, UFC 3-420-01, the National Fuel Gas Code, NFPA 101, the International Mechanical Code, and OSHA 1926.55. Key requirements include using CPVC piping material as specified by the manufacturer, employing a certified inspector to conduct inspections at various points, and performing comprehensive leak checks, draft analysis, and combustion analysis upon completion. The government is requesting vendor responses that address expected completion timeframe, alternative NAICS codes, warranty terms, company contact information and credentials, feasibility of a 60-day completion timeline, site visit requirements, and any clarification needs regarding the project scope. Responses must be submitted by April 9, 2026 at 4:00 P.M. Mountain Time via email to SSgt Cody Wolff and TSgt Matthew Kennedy; this announcement is issued for market research purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to issue a solicitation or award a contract.

No incumbent contractor or award value has been identified in the pre-solicitation materials. The contract period of performance is 60 calendar days after date of award, during which utilities must remain functioning throughout the project and all removed materials must be disposed of off-site. Final deliverables include a comprehensive report with photographs, inspection dates and times, leak check results, operational and safety check summaries, draft and combustion analysis reports, and identification of any unit deficiencies. A pre-bid site visit can be scheduled with designated staging areas and government-provided utilities available to support vendor assessment of the work requirements.
