About this opportunity

The 460th Contracting Squadron at Buckley Space Force Base, Colorado intends to solicit a fixed-price contract for procurement and installation of one new outdoor multi-sport scoreboard system by September 24, 2026, under a total small business set-away (NAICS 339950, 500-employee size standard). Award will be made to the lowest-price technically acceptable offeror.

The scoreboard must measure approximately 18 feet wide by 6 feet high by 8 inches deep, featuring super-bright, wide-angle LED digits enclosed in protective casing readable in direct sunlight. The visual interface shall display minimum team scores (home and guest), game clock (minutes and seconds), and period/quarter. Operation requires a secure wireless control interface—Bluetooth or dedicated radio frequency—maintaining reliable connection at 300 feet or greater range. The enclosure must be weather-resistant and rated to withstand high winds, hail, and extreme temperatures.

The contractor is responsible for designing and constructing a complete mounting system including reinforced concrete foundation, deep footers, and structural steel I-beam framing. Certified engineering drawings must be submitted for government review and approval prior to construction. The contractor shall obtain all dig permits through the 460th Civil Engineering Squadron (minimum 15-day processing period), provide site logistics, and conduct full system testing. If permanent electrical service is unavailable, the contractor shall provide temporary power for testing. Deliverables include the installed and fully operational system, certified engineering drawings, operating manuals, and minimum 5-year manufacturer warranty.

Place of performance is the outdoor multipurpose field adjacent to Building 35, 17890 East Steamboat Avenue, Aurora, Colorado 80011. Period of performance is 180 calendar days after receipt of award. All contractor employees must pass a background check to access the installation. Quote submissions close at 11:00 AM MDT on September 22, 2026.
