About this opportunity

The U.S. Air Force 509th Contracting Squadron at Whiteman AFB, Missouri is seeking potential vendors for bucket truck repair services specifically for an ALTEC AM800 Truck with asset number 03C00737. The Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command is conducting a Sources Sought notice to identify qualified contractors capable of performing comprehensive repair work, including refinishing the upper boom, addressing spiral cracks, and replacing outdated leveling cables. Interested vendors must submit a detailed response by 4:00 PM CST on April 18, 2025, via email to SSgt Natanael Valdez and 2 Lt Brittainy Shirley. The submission must include a statement of work demonstrating repair capabilities, relevant certifications, potential brand or sole source restrictions, and a projected cost estimate. Offeror questions are due by April 16, 2025, and respondents must provide their company information, CAGE Code, and Unique Entity Identification (UEID) number.

This pre-solicitation notice does not specify a specific set-aside designation and falls under the NAICS category 811310 for commercial and industrial machinery repair and maintenance. The procurement will require the contractor to provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and transportation to complete the repairs, with the U.S. Government delivering the vehicle to the contractor's facility. The Statement of Work mandates post-repair testing, including a structural load test, dielectric test, and operational test to ensure the truck is certified as serviceable. While no specific award value is mentioned, the contract will require the contractor to comprehensively repair the Altec Pole Truck to meet military specifications. The technical complexity of the repair, including addressing spiral cracks and recertifying the truck's operational status, suggests this will be a precision-focused maintenance contract requiring specialized industrial equipment repair expertise.
