About this opportunity
The U.S. Navy's Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring brand name HVAC parts from Trident Maritime Systems, Inc. (DBA IMECO Inc.) through RFQ N0040625QS560 for the USS John Canley (ESB-6). The procurement includes 28-30 line items of specialized HVAC components such as impellers, bearings, anti-vibration parts, shafts, bearing brackets, water traps, filters, drive belts, and speed detectors, all requiring direct replacement compatibility with existing naval equipment. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide an authorized distributor letter from the original equipment manufacturer. The government will evaluate quotes based on technical capability, delivery date, price, and past performance, awarding a firm fixed price contract without discussions to the responsible offeror providing the best value. The original quote deadline of September 5, 2025 was extended to September 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM EDT through Amendment 0001, with Amendment 0002 updating a specific part number for CLIN 0009.
Initially designated as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 333415 with a size standard of 1,250 employees, the procurement was converted to full and open competition through Amendment 0001. Trident Maritime Systems, Inc. (DBA IMECO Inc.) appears to be the targeted brand name supplier for these specialized HVAC replacement parts, with the justification emphasizing the need for original manufacturer components to maintain system uniformity and reliability. The contract requires delivery by September 26, 2025, with quantities ranging from 1 to 40 units per line item across the various HVAC components. Performance will take place at the Military Sealift Command BATS facility in San Diego, California, with the procurement following simplified acquisition procedures. While specific contract values are not disclosed, the requirement encompasses approximately 30 different specialized HVAC parts essential for maintaining naval vessel operations.
