About this opportunity
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), a component of the Department of the Treasury, is conducting market research to identify qualified small business vendors capable of supplying brand name Ricoh InfoPrint 5000 consumable supplies, specifically black ink, ink waste tanks, and ink collection pads. This is a Sources Sought Notice issued for market research and acquisition planning purposes only and is not a request for proposals, quotations, or bids at this time. Interested vendors must submit a capability statement not exceeding 10 pages by March 16, 2026, that includes company information, UEI and CAGE codes, business size classification, socioeconomic status, and technical capability details such as authorization as a Ricoh distributor and standard delivery capabilities. The government seeks vendors capable of delivering supplies within 15-30 days of order receipt and expects the ultimate procurement to be a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. Vendors should be prepared to address their technical qualifications, existing contract vehicles, and past performance with similar requirements.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to qualified small business concerns. The draft Statement of Work specifies delivery of consumable supplies to IRS facilities in Detroit and Ogden, including approximately 2,100 bags of Ricoh InfoPrint 5000 Dye Plus V2 Black ink (Item 12X8201) and 76 ink collection pads (Item 12X1675), with the contractor responsible solely for supply delivery while IRS employees handle installation. The anticipated requirement encompasses multiple shipments to different locations with the same standard delivery window of 15-30 days after order receipt. No specific contract award value or budget range is disclosed in this market research notice, and no current contractor or incumbent is identified. The notice indicates this market research may lead to a future competitive solicitation, but no formal request for proposals or bids will be issued based on responses to this sources sought notice.
