About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Robins Air Force Base is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing engineering services for a Brake Temperature Monitoring System (BTMS) on the MC-130J aircraft. The BTMS is required to be a low-cost, simplified modification that provides digital temperature readouts to the pilots and alerts them of impending brake overheating conditions. Key contractor capabilities include addressing brake temperature monitoring issues, providing operational improvements, developing technical data, and assisting with troubleshooting and maintenance. Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) must be submitted within 30 days and should include information about the company's relevant experience, facilities, and manufacturing processes. This RFI is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal or guarantee of a future contract.
There is no set-aside designation for this opportunity. The government has not identified any potential incumbents or current contractors. As this is an RFI, the government has not provided any information about potential award values or budget ranges. The RFI is focused on identifying qualified sources to potentially provide the BTMS engineering services in the future.
