About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) for a Brake Temperature Monitoring System (BTMS) for the MC-130J aircraft. The government is conducting market research to identify potential sources with the capability to design, install, test, and provide engineering/technical support for a low-cost, simplified BTMS modification that provides digital temperature readouts to the pilots and alerts of impending brake overheating conditions. The RFI outlines the required contractor capabilities, including addressing brake temperature monitoring issues, providing operational improvements, developing technical data, and assisting with troubleshooting and maintenance. Responses to the RFI must be submitted within 30 days and should include information about the company's relevant experience, facilities, and manufacturing processes. This is an RFI only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal or a guarantee of a future contract award. The government will not reimburse respondents for any expenses incurred.
