About this opportunity
The General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service is seeking to establish a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for Bren-Tronics brand lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, specifically part number BT-70780AT (military number BB-2800/U), intended for use in the U.S. Navy's Communications/Navigation Radio Frequency Avionics Flight Line Tester (CRAFT). Interested vendors must submit a four-page capabilities statement by May 14, 2025, at 4:00 PM EST, which includes company contact information, DUNS/SAM ID number, and product knowledge. The government will evaluate potential contractors based on the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) criteria, with the anticipation of issuing a single source BPA. To be considered, vendors must be registered in ASSIST and provide details about their business size classification under NAICS code 335910. Potential offerors will need to demonstrate their qualifications and experience in providing these specific rechargeable batteries.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside has been designated for this procurement, meaning the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors. The proposed BPA will have a period of performance from September 30, 2025, to September 29, 2030, spanning a five-year term. While specific quantity or budget details are not explicitly stated, the contract will be structured as a firm fixed price (FFP) agreement using an open market ordering procedure under FAR Subpart 13.303-2. Vendors must submit their capabilities statements directly to Contract Specialist Matthew McKeever and Contracting Officer Phil Cleveland via email. The government emphasizes that this is an initial sources sought notice, and submitting a response does not guarantee future contract award, with the ultimate goal of compiling a list of potentially interested and qualified companies for the subsequent formal Request for Quote (RFQ).
