The work comprises assessment of the Bottle Field—a nitrogen storage facility supporting Hypervelocity Wind Tunnel No. 9—and requires five sequential tasks: data collection and on-site inspection including ultrasonic thickness testing; development of a comprehensive Non-Destructive Examination plan per API 579/ASME FFS-1; NDE execution with AEDC coordination; engineering analysis using ANSYS FEA and solid modeling (Creo preferred); and recommendations for in-service inspection frequency and intervals.

Work is performed at AEDC White Oak, Maryland. Applicable standards include ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Sections VIII, Divisions 1, 2, and 3), API 579/ASME FFS-1, and API 510.

The anticipated NAICS code is 541330 (Engineering Services) with small business size standard of $25.5 million; the PSC is R425 (Support—Professional: Engineering/Technical). Interested contractors must submit company details, SAM Unique Entity Identifier, summary of relevant experience with high-pressure vessel assessments, budgetary estimate, and projected completion timeline by 1:00 PM Central Time on July 7, 2026, via email to Bethany Hill (bethany.hill.3@us.af.mil) and Brooke Vandeman (brooke.vandeman@us.af.mil).
