About this opportunity
The Department of State, US Embassy Madrid, seeks installation of a magnetic separator, repair of floor trip hazards, and replacement of a hot water manifold at the embassy facility, with proposals due May 14, 2026. Amendment 1, issued May 5, restructures the procurement into three separate contract line items with individual pricing and extends the original deadline; contractor acknowledgment of the amendment is required prior to proposal submission.
Place of performance is 28006 Madrid, Spain (Calle de Serrano, 75). The three CLINs are: (1) Installation of Magnetic Separator (Spirocross XC100 FM or similar, DN100, on return branches); (2) Repair of Floor Trip Hazards (epoxy resin flooring with anti-slip treatment, RAL color of choice); and (3) Replacement of Hot Water Manifold (including dismantling existing pipes, temporary DHW heat pump rental, auxiliary bypass circuit fabrication, DHW reconnection in AISI 316L stainless steel, and supply and installation of two Grundfos MAGNA1 25-120N DHW return pumps). All work must comply with OSHA codes, ACE EM 385, International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, ASHRAE, SMACNA standards, and NFPA 101 Life Safety Code. Pricing is requested in Euros and must include labor, materials, equipment, insurance, overhead, and profit, with VAT billed separately at 21%.
The contractor must commence work within ten calendar days of Notice to Proceed and complete all work within 60 calendar days (potentially phased as 35 days for CLINs 1 and 2, and 25 days for CLIN 3). Prior to implementation, the contractor must conduct a site visit and survey, submit manufacturer product data sheets and installation instructions, provide a finalized work plan with Critical Path Method schedule, and submit an Activity Hazard Analysis with safety plan details within 15 days of Notice to Proceed. The Government reserves the right to award one, two, or all three CLINs. NAICS 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction); PSC Z1AA (Maintenance of Office Buildings).
