About this opportunity
The Bureau of Land Management Colorado White River Field Office is soliciting suppression repair seeding services for the Elk Fire and Lee Fire areas near Meeker, Colorado. The contractor must apply pre-mixed seed furnished by BLM across 258 total acres: 70 acres in the Elk Fire area at 6.5 pounds per acre and 180 acres in the Lee Fire area at 12 pounds per acre, utilizing GPS-capable equipment to document application routes and ensure uniform seed distribution within a 10 percent tolerance. Questions must be submitted to the point of contact with sufficient time for research and amendment issuance, and complete proposal packages including a signed SF-1449 form with firm fixed pricing must be emailed to pfrost@blm.gov by the March 11, 2026 deadline, which was extended by Amendment 0001 posted March 4, 2026.

The contractor must furnish all labor, transportation, fuel, tools, and equipment; BLM will provide seed pickup at the White River Field Office in Meeker, Colorado. Acceptance is contingent upon achieving a 95 percent acceptable quality level with uniform seed distribution, and payment will be based on actual acres seeded as documented through GPS data and contractor-provided shapefiles, processed through the Invoice Processing Platform with 15-day prompt payment for small businesses.
