Each tactical gear kit includes a fire carrier vest with MOLLE upgrades, NIJ Level IIIA ballistic armor panels and helmet, carry bag, and a stocked medical pouch.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the contractor community of the government's intent to proceed with a sole source acquisition rather than conduct a competitive procurement. The notice explicitly states it is not a request for proposals or quotations, and no solicitation package will be issued. Interested parties may submit responses by 2:00 PM CDT on September 17, 2025, which the government will consider solely to determine whether conducting a competitive procurement would be in the government's best interest. The government retains full discretion to proceed with the sole source action regardless of any responses received. This notice serves as a transparency measure to allow potential contractors to provide input before the government finalizes its non-competitive procurement approach.
