About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command, specifically the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division at Keyport, is conducting market research to identify qualified contractors capable of replacing a roll-up door (asset number 7718-0-000-160A-60-1M) at a Navy facility. The existing door, installed in 1994, has split down the center and is beyond repair, necessitating immediate replacement. This is a Sources Sought notice (RFISS-170) issued as a pre-solicitation market research effort, not a formal Request for Proposal. A critical requirement for all potential contractors is obtaining Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level X certification prior to contract award, with compliance verification to be conducted through the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS). Interested contractors must complete the attached "Questionnaire for Industry" document and submit responses by May 4, 2026, at 11:59 PM to john.p.gathu.mil@us.navy.mil. All submissions are voluntary, and the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred in responding to this notice.
No set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement, and no incumbent contractor or current award values are identified in the notice. Respondents are required to provide company information, CMMC 2.0 certification status, estimated project costs, and the number of calendar days needed to become operational following contract award. The questionnaire also requests that contractors identify appropriate NAICS and FSC/PSC codes and confirm small business status where applicable. Contractors must adhere to Operations Security (OPSEC) requirements and are explicitly prohibited from including any classified, controlled unclassified, or arms export controlled information in their responses. This market research effort will inform the Government's acquisition strategy prior to formal solicitation development.
