The 168th Air Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, Eielson AFB, AK, intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single firm fixed-price contract for the Building Improvements of Building 3129 at the 168th AW, Alaska Air National Guard, Eielson AFB, AK.  Building is approximately 25,900 square feet with interior renovation of 7,200 +/- square feet of office space and renovation of the remainder of the facility.  Work includes demolition, HVAC improvements, electrical upgrades, updated fire alarm system, and other duties associated with an office renovation. Supporting facilities include a new arctic entry, temporary trailers, and extension of utilities to serve project.





The magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000 - $5,000,000


A bid bond in the amount of 20% of the offer is required.



The total Construction duration is anticipated to be 180 calendar days after notice to proceed  and may include a winter exclusion period.


The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 236220 Commercial and Building Construction.  This is a total small business set- aside. The small business size standard is $36.5 million average annual revenue.  Your attention is directed to FAR CLAUSE 52.219-14 (b) (4) LIMITATIONS ON SUBCONTRACTING which states "By submission of an offer and execution of a contract, the Offeror /Contractor agrees that in performance of the contract the concern will perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees" applies to this project.


The date for an organized site visit is 28 June 2017 at the 168th AW FW OG Building 3129, at the Alaska Air National Guard, Eielson AFB, AK. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend and shall follow base access requirements shown in the solicitation.


The solicitation closing date is scheduled for 20 July 2017.
