About this opportunity
The Indian Health Service, Shiprock Service Unit is conducting market research to identify prospective sources for a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) supplying miscellaneous Applied Medical surgical supplies on an as-needed basis at Northern Navajo Medical Center. This sources-sought notice is not a solicitation but rather a means of gathering information to inform the government's acquisition strategy regarding competition, set-asides, and identification of Indian-owned economic enterprises. The supplies to be procured include a comprehensive range of surgical instruments and devices organized across multiple categories, such as ALEXIS retraction systems, GelPOINT access platforms, clip appliers, graspers, scissors, retrieval systems, and the VOYANT surgical system with associated disposables. All interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and must submit their responses by 12:00 PM MST on March 19, 2026, to William Lee at William.Lee@ihs.gov with the subject line "SS-SRSU-26-0016." Submissions must include a company profile containing UEI, business name and address, primary point of contact information, business size and type of ownership, socioeconomic status, and identification of Native American ownership if applicable.
This opportunity is set aside for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise, requiring offerors to self-certify their status as Indian Economic Enterprises as defined under 25 U.S.C. 47 and HHSAR 326.601, with eligibility required at offer submission, contract award, and throughout the performance period. The applicable NAICS code is 339112—Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing—with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The contract is structured as a Blanket Purchase Agreement with a base period plus four option years, providing flexibility for the government's surgical supply needs across an extended performance timeline. While no specific dollar value or minimum quantity commitments are outlined in the sources-sought notice, the comprehensive product catalog of approximately 400 line items indicates a substantial and diverse procurement requirement. Submission of information in response to this market survey is voluntary, and the government assumes no financial responsibility for costs incurred in preparing responses.
