About this opportunity
The Food and Drug Administration Office of Acquisition and Grant Services seeks procurement of one Bio-Rad QX200 Droplet Digital PCR System with delivery, installation, and operational verification, with quotations due June 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time. This is a brand-name restricted acquisition under FAR 11.105; only the Bio-Rad QX200 will satisfy the Government's minimum needs for compatibility with existing validated reverse transcription droplet digital PCR methods and assay development activities.
Place of performance is Laurel, Maryland. The system must process up to 96 samples per run with 2–3 hour completion times, require no more than 5 microliters of sample input per analysis, and support QX Manager Software version 2.2 Standard Edition with existing analysis templates. Delivery must occur within 30 calendar days of award to FDA, 8301 Muirkirk Road, Laurel, MD 20708, during normal business hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. The contractor shall provide the complete system including manual droplet generator, droplet reader, computer, software, installation, training, initial operational verification, and one-year manufacturer warranty. An optional one-year post-warranty extended service plan covering preventive and corrective maintenance, software and firmware updates, and 24–48 hour service request acknowledgment with two-business-day on-site support response is available for separate pricing. The estimated value is approximately $38,000. Base period of performance runs July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027, with an optional year one extending July 1, 2027–June 30, 2028. Award will be made on a firm-fixed-price basis to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest-priced technically acceptable quotation, with evaluation weighting total pricing for both line items. All contractor personnel must comply with FDA facility security requirements, including advance notification, badging, sign-in procedures, and continuous escort while on-site. NAICS 334516; PSC 6630.
