About this opportunity
The Indian Health Service (IHS), a division of the Department of Health and Human Services, is seeking a contractor to provide a toll-free, 24/7 nurse triage telephone system for eligible Native American and Alaskan Native beneficiaries of the Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC). The contractor will be responsible for providing clinical assessments, dispositions to appropriate levels of care, a health information library, and call reporting. The contractor must utilize licensed registered nurses with a minimum of 3 years of nurse triage experience and maintain URAC accreditation. The contract will be for a one-year base period with four 12-month option periods. Interested parties must submit an Indian Economic Enterprise (IEE) Representation Form and Capabilities Statement demonstrating their ability to meet the government's requirements.
This is a set-aside opportunity under the Buy Indian Act, meaning only eligible IEE firms may be awarded the contract. PIMC estimates approximately 100 calls per month for this service. The IHS will use the responses received by the October 30th deadline to determine if there are at least two qualified IEE firms to set aside the requirement. The government has not indicated any potential incumbent contractors or award values, but the related Performance Work Statement provides details on the scope of services required.
