About this opportunity
This pre-solicitation notice is seeking proposals for a Medical Equipment Corporate Exigency Contract to provide sustainment of airworthy ventilators to meet Military Service contingency operation requirements. The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Medical seeks to partner with manufacturers to ensure access to ventilators during contingency operations including military, humanitarian, and emergency relief efforts. Proposed ventilators must be aeromedically certified by all Military Services at time of solicitation closing. The award will include one base year and four one-year option periods.
There is no set-aside designated for this requirement. Key details include the contract providing access to ventilators rather than direct purchases and storage. The notice does not specify potential award values or quantities of ventilators required. The pre-solicitation provides advance notice for this forthcoming requirements contract to ensure airworthy ventilator capacity during contingency operations across a five-year period.
Notice text
The Medical Equipment Corporate Exigency Contract (CEC) for the group of Patient Movement Items (PMI) Program is designed to provide sustainment material to meet the Military Services' requirements in times of contingency operations. Contingency operations include providing logistical support to military operations, humanitarian and emergency or urgent relief efforts performed under the authority of the military. CEC awards establish long term partnerships with manufacturers to provide this sustainment support.
The intent is to buy access to material by partnering with industry versus purchasing material and storing in Government facilities. We are buying access to airworthy ventilators. In order to be considered for award, proposed items must be aeromedically certified by all services at time of solicitation closing. The award will include 1 base year and 4 one-year option periods.
