About this opportunity

The U.S. Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting a competitive procurement for two B-1 borescope systems under Request for Quote FA812526Q0044. The requirement is for Waygate Technologies MViQ+ Enhance Borescopes or equal commercial items, each featuring interchangeable 4mm and 6mm probes, forward and side view capabilities with at least 100 degrees field of view, approximately 2-meter cables, and minimum 32 gigabytes of internal storage. Each system must include a handheld unit with ergonomic pistol grip design, interchangeable battery with charger, 110-volt AC power capability, portable carry-on case, telescoping pole kit, and rigid protective sleeve, with total system weight between 5-10 pounds and case weight of 20-25 pounds. Award will be made to the vendor offering the lowest evaluated price whose quotation conforms to all solicitation requirements and federal compliance obligations, including Buy American Act compliance, NIST cybersecurity standards, and MIL-STD-810H compliance testing. The solicitation was issued April 9, 2026, with offers due by April 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM local time; Amendment 0001 was posted April 13, 2026, and Amendment 0002 was posted April 15, 2026, to clarify technical requirements regarding probe specifications and stereo measurement capabilities.

This is a 100% small business set-aside acquisition with no identified incumbent contractors. The total contract value has not been publicly disclosed, though pricing will be evaluated on a firm fixed-price basis for commercial items under FAR Part 12 procedures. Delivery is required by August 14, 2026, FOB destination to Tinker Air Force Base, Building 3001, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where the borescopes will be used for aircraft maintenance and non-destructive inspection operations. All vendors must maintain current representations and certifications in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and comply with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement requirements, including item unique identification provisions. The contracting officer is Sheridan Robison (sheridan.robison@us.af.mil, 405-582-5686), with an ombudsman available at 405-739-2372 to address vendor concerns regarding the acquisition process.
