About this file
This is an Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract (Standard Form 30) issued by the United States Air Force. Amendment Number 0002 became effective on 15 April 2026 and amends solicitation FA812526Q0044, originally dated 09 April 2026. The amendment was issued by FA8125 (AFSC PZIMA) at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, with Sheridan Robison serving as the contracting officer and point of contact.
The purpose of this amendment is to address an industry question regarding borescope measurement capabilities. An offeror questioned whether the USAF requires measuring capability for 6mm and 4mm scope borescopes, noting this is a standard requirement for flight safety and critical visual inspection borescopes. The Air Force response clarified that while specific USAF requirements for borescope sizes do not exist, Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) Technical Orders specify these sizes for certain tasks and reference specific borescope models. The Air Force confirmed that 4mm and 6mm sizes are used routinely for various tasks and are considered standard for aircraft inspection borescopes. All other terms and conditions of the referenced solicitation remain unchanged and in full force and effect.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES
The purpose of this amendment is to answer a question from industry: Block 14 (Description of Amendment/Modification):
Question: I note that subject attached item description does not state whether the USAF requires measuring capability for the 6mm and the 4mm scope. Such is a usual and customary requirement for flight safety/critical visual inspection borescopes.
Answer: As far as I can tell, I don't think we have USAF requirements for borescope sizes. There are NDI TOs that specify those sizes for certain tasks, but those also reference specific borescope models. We use 4mm and 6mm for a lot of our own tasks, and those sizes seem to be standard for aircraft inspection borescopes as far as I can tell.
